NEWS of SCORCH

CHRISTOPHER and GERALDINE have been travelling on their yacht 'SCORCH of WESSEX' since 3rd October, 2002.
They have spent the first 5 years in the Medditerean.They crossed the Atlantic in December 2007.
They are currently in the Caribbean.

Count Down

When we arrived in Gozo in Early April, we said that we would leave by mid-May. The 15th arrived and we were still not ready to depart. 31st was the new date.
Meantime the weather decided to show its ugly head and storms have been taking place in the Western Med, Westerlies up to force 10 with 6 m seas. Not what we need for where we are going Tomorrow 1st June predicts S 2-3. Time to leave…………..
We have not decided whether we head for Pantelleria, or south west Sicily. It will depend on what we find when we leave Gozo.

Ahoy dear friends,
This time last year we were on the rally and I really loved getting to know you both.
Now I'm in Mexico having the time of my life despite still being in the yard. This truly is the life and it was meeting people like you which further inspired me to get going.

The exciting news this week is that a bird of some description has made his nest in one of Roath Park's paddle ducks. Twitchers from many parts of the globe are rushing to catch a glimpse of this astonishing site.A statement is expected from the Welsh Assembly any day now.
Otherwise much as usual. Mrs H has disappeared into the Singer of the World contest for the week.
