First swim

After Rowena and Ralphy’s departure we resumed our work and final preparations for leaving Gozo. The list of jobs seems to be getting smaller, although we always find new items to add on. The SSB radio has caused some problems, despite the fact it is brand new and expensive, we could receive but not transmit. It transpired that the transmitter motherboard was faulty. A new one was sent from UK and we actually are in Malta awaiting the engineer to fit and test the radio. It is a beautiful day and we have decided to moor in a bay in Comino tonight away from the noise and grim of the port. We will get back in our mooring in Mgarr tomorrow morning.
Gozo put on a fantastic party last week-end in its Capital Victoria. There were bands in every square. A jazz, a rock and classical music band of high quality entertained the multitude. But in typical Maltese fashion nothing really started before 21.00 hrs. and carried on until 3 am. Xavier erected a climbing wall outside his house and gave the Gozo Climbing Club a high exposure. It was well received and everyone had fun. We all needed a few days to recover.
Maltese Mothers day was last Sunday. We took to opportunity of a hot and calm day to spend it in Comino. Xavier’s rib did the biz and it took 5 minutes to transport us there. Lilly hair was standing by the time we got there! Even Emma was subdued.

We swan for the 1st time this year. It was glorious and fresh…..
