Wisely Rowena postponed her travel to Malta by a week due to Ralphy’s chickenpox. Sun, salt and sand can be an irritant to a little boy covered in spots, added to the fact that the weather much improved the week of their arrival. We managed many days sitting on the beach. The location depended on the wind’s direction. The sea is still too cold for adults but children are much more hardy. Despite teeth chattering and shivering all over Ralphy still insisted in swimming. We managed 2 mornings swimming in a heated indoor/outdoor pool in a 1st class spa. Sadly Emma could not be part of the proceedings, as she is not allowed to get her ears wet, until her grommets fall out. Chris with mums and youngsters armed with torches took everyone on an expedition into tunnels under the Citadel. Looking for monsters and dragons caused great excitement.
Ralphy enjoyed his sleep over on the boat. Children love it because they think they are in a doll's house.

Lovely shots of the family.Hope the spots are receding and not spreading.
We are expecting our Wells lot over for a flying visit on the bank-holiday for Young Master Stealey's 40th birthday bash. Weather due to be good old British bank-holiday wind and rain. But we'll get the deck-chairs out, put the knotted hankerchiefs on, roll up the trousers, and have a paddle in the emerald brown waters of the Bristol Channel.
I'm still coastwatching, but have yet to spot a German U boat.Mrs' H has been on another farewell concert tour of Roath Park and Barry.Rave reviews as usual from her fan club, Pat and I(although we miss Peg very much)
Hi guys - enjoyed catching up on your news. Thanks for all your messages on our site. We are hoping to leave Rhodes today or tomorrow and finally get going. "Stumpy" looking pretty hideous but healing well now!
Lots of love from Michele and Nic x
