Despite being in Europe 5 months our time there went very quickly. The reunion with family and friends, the body M.O.Ts, the paperwork to sort out meant that the first 4 weeks in UK went in a flash.
Our 5 weeks in Gozo, Malta catching up with the whole family was fun, noisy boisterous and hectic most of the time.
Birthday Celebration!
Our month travelling through France seeing family and friends for the 1st time in 5 years was enjoyable. We travelled the length to the South, beautiful Fayence where my sister lives, the width to the Armagnac country and to Nemours via the Dordogne. A first for me!

Beautiful Historical BuildingsOpen air ‘CARMEN’ in Fontainbleu was a highlight but any out of doors performances from 7 till 11 pm at the end of September when the temperature dropped to 4 degree is a bit misguided. Thank goodness we were wrapped up well!
The autumn colours, which we have not seen for at least 8 years were this year magnificent, due to a dry September, but the cold and damp weather was beginning to take hold.
We returned to Scorch on 28th October
