A New Dishwasher

The end of a tiring but very successful day


It was quite a chock to hear Xavier offer our floating home for a 50th Birthday party day charter. I just hoped it would not materialise but it did, on the same day their dishwasher packed up with no hope of repair. The domestic appliances supplier told Xavier about a repossessed brand new, high quality dishwasher, being sold at half price. As luck would have it, the colour matched their fridge (it tipped the balance in favour) Chris said that the day charter money would pay for it. With a certain anxiety I prepared for the buffet lunch whilst the boys keep a keen eye on the weather forecast. With great relief Xav took my place and they sailed to Malta to collect the 5 guests. The day was a great success with perfect sailing weather. The unsuspecting Birthday boy had a day to remember! The dishwasher was fitted on that day. Xav cooked a celebratory meal and we tested the totally silent wash. Chris said it had been the best sailing day for a long time!…..
